Tiger and Jack meet the core fore

Meet the Core Fore

What started by random chance brought these four men together—and somehow, against all odds, the Core Fore was born. United by a shared passion for life, golf, good times, and a healthy dose of pure entertainment, what began as a chance encounter quickly became a brotherhood built around the game we love.

We travel far and wide in search of great courses, great cities, great food, and even better stories. The golf is important, but the memories, laughs, and adventures along the way are what truly make the journey worthwhile.

let’s meet the members of the Core Fore.

Tod h. aka Phil A. Buster

Tod — The Style, The Swing & The Dracophile

The swing may have its own unique personality, but don’t let appearances fool you—Tod knows how to get the job done. When playing FIGJIG, he has a remarkable ability to find his way around the course and, more often than not, finds himself breaking 80. Tod embodies the belief that golf isn’t always about how you get there—it’s about having the confidence, creativity, and determination to get the score you want.

Tod brings that same individuality to every course he plays. His favorite destinations include Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course and Spanish Bay, where dramatic scenery, challenging layouts, and unforgettable golf come together. And Tod isn't afraid to travel for the game. He has crossed the Atlantic to Ireland, taking in the beauty of the Emerald Isle, playing Old Head, and pursuing one of his other great passions: dragons.

A proud dracophile, Tod has a genuine appreciation for the mystery, mythology, and majesty of these legendary creatures. Whether he's searching for dragons across Ireland, studying the architecture of a great golf course, or standing over a difficult shot, Tod approaches life with the same philosophy: embrace the adventure, enjoy the moment, and never be afraid to do things your own way.

Tod doesn't just play golf—he brings personality, style, adventure, and a little bit of dragon magic to every round

Mark W. PE

AKA Dusty LaRue

Mark — The Architect, Competitor & Teacher

As a PE, Mark brings a unique perspective to the game of golf. He sees the course not simply as a collection of holes, but as a living piece of art. While others are focused on the next shot, Mark is appreciating the vision behind the course—the way an architect uses the natural landscape, elevation, contours, hazards, and surroundings to create a strategic and memorable experience. For Mark, great golf is where sport, strategy, creativity, and nature come together.

And while Mark appreciates the finer points of course design, he is never afraid to put that knowledge into action. Every few holes, he reminds everyone that sometimes the best strategy is simply to let it rip. Mark has a competitive spirit and isn't afraid to muscle one when the moment calls for it.

Perhaps one of Mark's greatest contributions to the game is the perspective he passes on to the next generation. He believes golf is about playing your game, making smart decisions, and having the confidence to choose the club that gives you the best opportunity for success. Need a wood on a short par 3? Hit the wood. There is no shame in playing the club that works for you—only confidence in knowing your own game.

Mark also understands that golf is about much more than the scorecard. Several years ago, he lost his trusted companion, Trusty Rusty. While Rusty will always hold a special place in Mark's memories, Mark has chosen to honor those memories the best way he knows how—by continuing to live fully, appreciate the good times, and enjoy the game and the people around him.

Today, Mark brings curiosity, competitiveness, wisdom, and a genuine appreciation for life to every round. He studies the architecture, challenges the course, encourages the next generation, and occasionally reminds the golf ball that he still knows how to hit it.

For Mark, golf isn't just about playing the course. It's about appreciating the journey, sharing it with good friends, and making every round count

Brian — The Den Mom & Snake Whisperer

Every great group has that one person who makes everyone around him better, and for the Core Fore, that person is Brian. Known affectionately as the Den Mom, Brian is the guy who keeps everyone connected, makes sure nobody gets left behind, and somehow always seems to have a solution when the rest of us are still trying to figure out the problem. He’s the kind of guy who brings two brains to every fight—thoughtful, steady, and always ready to have your back.

Then there’s The Snake Whisperer. Brian never shies away from a game of Snake and welcomes the competition, the laughs, and maybe a little friendly wagering along the way. Whether it's golf, a good conversation, or a cold Guinness and Jameson after the round, Brian is always up for the experience.

Beyond the course, Brian brings that same energy to everything he does. He devotes countless hours to golf and leads the highly successful Evolve Improve Development Corporation, where his passion for helping people grow and improve shines through. Brian is driven, generous with his time, and genuinely enjoys bringing people together.

At the end of the day, Brian is more than a member of the Core Fore—he's one of the reasons the Core Fore is what it is. He's the guy you want on your team, the guy you want sitting beside you at the 19th hole, and most importantly, the guy everyone wants to meet and call a friend.

Brian — The Den Mom & Snake Whisperer

Every great group needs someone who keeps the wheels on the bus, and for the Core Fore, that guy is Brian. Officially known as the Den Mom of the group, Brian somehow manages to keep four grown men pointed in roughly the same direction. And when the Core Fore heads into battle, Brian doesn’t just bring his game—he brings two brains to every fight. One to make the decision and one to question why the first one was made.

But Brian has another reputation around the Core Fore: The Snake Whisperer. While some golfers avoid a good game of Snake, Brian never backs down. Give him a group, a wager, and a chance to earn a little respect—or cash—and he's all in. The Snake may bite, but Brian keeps coming back for more.

When he isn't managing the Core Fore or stalking the next Snake, Brian is always down for a Guinness and a Jameson, preferably after a long day on the course and accompanied by a few questionable golf stories.

Golf isn't just something Brian plays—it's a major part of who he is. He devotes his time and energy to all things golf while also running the highly successful Evolve Improve Development Corporation, bringing the same passion for growth, development, and improvement to his professional life that he brings to the course.

At the end of the day, Brian is the guy you want in your corner: part coach, part counselor, part golf junkie, full-time Den Mom—and apparently the only man brave enough to willingly play Snake every chance he gets.
