🐍 THE SNAKE GAME

One snake. One necklace. No mercy.

The Snake Game is a Core Fore tradition where three-putts have consequences, the snake must be worn with pride, and the pressure doesn’t end when the final putt drops.

THE RULES

1. Three-Putt = Snake 🐍
Three-putt a hole and congratulations—you’re the Snake. The snake necklace is yours.

2. Wear the Snake
Once you become the Snake, you wear the snake necklace until someone else takes it from you. And we mean until you lose it outright—the necklace stays with you through the entire round and into the post-round pubs. No hiding it. No taking it off. No excuses.

3. Only the Snake Can Give Gimmies
The Snake holds the power. Only the player wearing the snake necklace can offer a gimme. Everyone else has to earn it.

4. Cart Girl Rule 🍺
If the cart girl drives by while you are the Snake, the Snake buys the round. Being the Snake comes with responsibilities.

5. Turn Rule
Whoever is wearing the snake necklace at the turn buys a round for the group. You may not be able to control becoming the Snake, but you can control how you handle it.

6. Final Snake Rule 🐍🍻
Whoever finishes the game as the Snake buys a round and appetizers for the group at the end of the game.

THE OBJECTIVE

Don’t three-putt. Don’t become the Snake. And whatever you do…

DON’T FINISH AS THE SNAKE.

Because in the Core Fore, the game may end on the 18th green—but the Snake’s tab is just getting started.

THE PUTTING GAME

The rules are simple: you must make your first putt!

Each player starts with a putt from anywhere on the putting green. Your goal is 1 putt.

Scoring:

🏌️ Closest 1-putt: 1 point
🏌️ Second-closest 1-putt: 2 points
🏌️ Third-closest 1-putt: 3 points
🏌️ Farthest 1-putt: 4 points
💀 Off the green: 5 points

The catch? You have to make your first putt.

At the end, add up the points. Highest score wins.

Simple. Competitive. And just enough pressure to make that six-footer feel like it matters.

Putting Game Mania, Coffman Edition:

-Pair the putting game with Snake, this heightens the stress. You only score if you make your first putt, but if you are too aggressive you risk the SNAKE 3 Putt

Add Lock Out- This is for golfers that are serious about having fun. Lock out only allows a maximum of 1 person to score per hole. So if you make the longest putt you locked out everyone else.

Add bonus points for chip ins, birdies, eagles, etc.

FIGJIG

FIGJIG isn’t just a golf game. It’s a test of skill, strategy, nerve, and the ability to find a way to score.

At its heart, FIGJIG is about one simple philosophy: it doesn’t matter how you get there—it matters what you write on the scorecard. Every round brings its own challenges, and FIGJIG rewards the golfer who can navigate them, manage their game, and somehow turn questionable shots into respectable scores.

You can play up to 3 balls per shot. The game was made famous by one of our favorites Padraig Harrington and creates a laid back fun atmosphere and low scores. It’s a perfect game to increase your confidence and show yourself you can and will make every golf shot.

FIGJIG has become a Core Fore tradition where good golf, questionable golf, great stories, all come together. The competition is serious, the banter is better, and every round creates another chapter in the FIGJIG history books.

REVERSE MULLIGANS

What’s better than seeing a buddy hit a mega shot? Taking it away with a Reverse Mulligan.

The Reverse Mulligan is one of the great equalizers in Core Fore golf. Just when your buddy stripes one down the middle, sticks it close, or pulls off an unbelievable shot, you have the opportunity to call a Reverse Mulligan and make that beautiful shot disappear.

A Reverse Mulligan is all about timing, strategy, and, most importantly, knowing when to ruin someone else’s moment. Because in Core Fore, sometimes the best shot of the day isn't the one you hit yourself—it's the one you get to take away.

Rules:

-unlimited mulligans

-once you use a mulligan, you can be reversed

-if you are reversed and hit an equal or better shot, all your mulligans are erased.
